Jonathan Elliott is a Hall County native with deep roots in Gainesville and a strong commitment
to its future. Raised in East Hall, Jon and his family were later drawn to the city by Gainesville’s
welcoming spirit and excellent schools.
Jon earned a BBA in Real Estate from the University of Georgia before spending more than 20
years helping operate his family’s trucking company, a business that supported Gainesville’s
poultry industry and provided valuable jobs in the community. Through that work, he gained
firsthand experience with the challenges faced by working families, small businesses, and the
industries that drive Gainesville’s economy. Today, in addition to his logistics background, he works in real estate, where he helps local businesses to grow and create jobs. His broad business experience gives him a practical perspective on economic
development, infrastructure, and quality-of-life issues.
Jon and his wife, Karen, are the proud parents of two sons — Walker, a student at the University
of Mississippi, and Wyatt, a junior at Lakeview Academy.
As your City Councilman, Jon is committed to responsible growth, safe neighborhoods, and a
thriving Gainesville where families and businesses can succeed together.
